History

Westside Pharmacy was founded in 1916 by H.S. Woods and was called Woods Drugs. From the early 1940s until the early 1970s, the drugstore went through several ownership and name changes but through it all continued to be a staple in the community selling everything from sandwiches and ice cream to cosmetics and gifts.

In 1961, Westside relocated to its current day location at 1516 S. 31st first retail establishment on that end of town. Due to the location change, Westside lost the beloved soda fountain and snack bar, but the increased floor space enabled the pharmacy to expand the inventory to meet the needs of the growing population of Temple.

In the spring of 2014, Mark and Amanda Bradley were thrilled to find an opportunity to build upon a legacy that has been established over the past 50 years; after tying loose ends at their jobs in the DFW area, they took over in May and look forward to serving the Temple community with the best possible customer service.
